To help Midas build awareness of its strategically important tire offerings, it partnered with Cooper Tire to give away four tires on Facebook. We licensed and customized the visual and functional design of a Facebook sweepstakes platform. Entry was as simple as entering an email address – while page Likes were encouraged as well. Entrants could win bonus entries by sharing the sweepstakes with friends through email, Facebook or Twitter. We designed an email that was sent to Midas customers as well as in-store collateral for local Midas franchisees to promote the campaign at the counter.
Over 14,000 people entered and Liked the page. Over a million consumers were reached across Facebook and Twitter, thanks to the viral component of the campaign. Midas’ Facebook community continues to boast the finest engagement rate across a benchmark of automotive service providers.
